It's winter time and what better way to spend the holidays than by starting a blog? For a very long time, I have been putting it off; but today I am taking the plunge and starting this blog. Technology is something I am passionate about and I have a hobby of photography as well. I love to travel and visit different places and cultures. This blog will be a great way for me to share my ideas and stories about technology, programming, gadgets, my travels, and photography. I'm excited to embark on this journey and share my experiences with you.

Ghost! A simple blogging platform

I chose Ghost as my blogging platform. Ghost is a powerful platform designed to help content creators with modern tools. It is open-source and offers both cloud-hosted and self-hosted options. With Ghost, you can build amazing websites, easily publish content, and even send newsletters to readers and customers. Not only that, but Ghost also comes with a plethora of diverse themes to choose from, so you can customize your website to fit your exact needs and aesthetic.

Why I chose ghost?

I'm a strong advocate of simplicity. I wanted to start a blog without any complex features, but finding the right platform was challenging. WordPress has been the go-to for bloggers for years, but it comes with a lot of complicated code and security issues. Recently, modern blogging platforms and static site generators have emerged that are simpler and less cluttered than WordPress. I considered Hugo but ultimately chose Ghost. It may have fewer features than WordPress, but it fits my needs for simplicity. Ghost is exceptionally good at its intended purpose: creating content quickly and easily. Setting up the Ghost platform to self-host wasn't difficult either. In the future, I plan to write a blog post about how to self-host Ghost and configure it to my liking.

Where do I share my photography?

As I mentioned before, I am a hobby photographer and I enjoy sharing my photography with others. You can find some of my work at iSnap. I also post some of my photos on my Instagram account, so if you're looking for more of my work, that's a great place to start. Furthermore, if you have any ideas on how I can improve my work or anything else you think I should add or write about, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm always open to hearing what other people have to say, and I'm sure there are plenty of ways I can improve my photography. I look forward to hearing from you!

Why did I choose a picture of snowflakes for this post?

The picture in this post was taken last winter from a window. I find beauty in small things, such as this picture. It shows beautiful snowflakes in the window, randomly growing in any direction, symbolizing uncertainty in life. But in the background, I see light, which represents hope. I expect this blog will be a source of hope and inspiration for me. I'm looking forward to learning something new and discovering more about myself
