When I was searching for a blogging platform, one of the features that was important to me was a built-in gallery. I wanted a gallery that was not only easy to browse, but one that would also allow me to upload pictures and view them in a simple slideshow format. Fortunately, I discovered that Ghost Gallery had all of these features and more. There are numerous Ghost themes available that are specifically designed for photography enthusiasts, which you can find on their website. Ghost provides an easy and convenient way to showcase your photos. It also offers a wide range of customizable options to help you create a visually-appealing and professional-looking blog.

Unfortunately, the current version of albums in Ghost has some limitations. One of these limitations is that you can only upload up to 9 images at a time. While this may not be an issue for most users, it can be problematic if you want to upload more than 9 pictures on a page. If you need to add more images to an album, you can create multiple albums on a single page. They will still appear as one slideshow. This is a great user experience for those who only want to browse the slideshow.

Another limitation is that there is no easy way to set the "alt" and "caption" attributes for images in albums. This can be problematic if you are optimizing your pages for search engines, as SEO is crucial for content discoverability. However, there is a workaround for this issue. You can drag the image out of the album and onto the page, where it will appear as a single image. You can then set both the "caption" and "alt" attributes for that specific image. When you are finished adding your caption, you can drag the image back to the album. While this may not be the best user experience, it will get the job done.

Ghost is a great platform for photographers to showcase their work. If you're willing to pay, there are also great paid themes available for Ghost. However, if you're a beginner, you can start by choosing one of the free themes and begin your journey to share your photography.
